2014-15: Rated top prospect in NHL Central Scouting’s midterm rankings.Won a gold medal with Team Canada at IIHF U20 World Junior Championship, recording 3 goals and 8 assists in 7 games played. Named to Team Orr for BMO CHL Top Prospects Game. Invited to Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp and made team. Selected to Team Ontario for the Subway Super Series. Recorded his 200th OHL point 10/30 against the Plymouth Whalers on a 4-point night. Named the OHL’s Player of the Month for October posting 10 goals and 20 assists in 10 games. Named OHL’s Player of the Week for October 20-26 where he recorded three goals and six assists in three games.Recorded at least one point in each of the Otters first 14 games (14-28-42). Received an A rating (1st round candidate) from NHL CSS Preliminary 2015 Players to Watch. 2013-14: McDavid made his first assist of the season @ Guelph on 9/20/13. Connor scored his first goal of the season on 9/27/13 @ Sarnia, along with making 2 assists. Connor enjoyed an 11-game scoring streak that began on 10/5/13 at home against North Bay. He began the streak with a goal and an assist. The streak ended on 11/2/13 @ Niagara where Connor had 2 assists. Connor totaled 30 points in the streak (5 goals, 25 assists). McDavid had his first 5-point game as an Otter on 1/12/14. He had 1 goal and 4 assists against Windsor that game. Connor enjoyed another 5-point game the following month on 2/8/14. He had 5 assists at home against London. Connor finished the regular season with a 6-game scoring streak. It began on 3/5/14 at home against Plymouth, where Connor scored a goal with 3 assists. The streak ended the final game of the season on 3/15/14 at home vs. Sarnia where McDavid scored a goal with an assist. Connor scored a total of 17 points in the 6 games (7 goals, 10 assists). He finished the season with 99 points (28 goals, 71 assists), being the 4th highest scorer in the OHL in the 2013-14 season in his 2nd year. McDavid was named the OHL Player of The Month for October, 2013. He had also won the William Hanley Trophy for being the OHL’s Most Sportsmanlike Player of the Year. McDavid represented his native country of Canada in the 2014 World Junior Championship in Malmo, Sweden, finishing in 4th place. He was just the 6th 16-year-old to represent Canada in their history. 2012-13: McDavid was drafted to the Erie Otters in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection in the 1st round, picked 1st. Connor won the Jack Ferguson Award for being the top pick in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. McDavid made his OHL debut on 9/20/12 @ Niagara. He scored his first OHL goal and assist the next day @ London, which began a 15-game scoring streak. The streak concluded on 11/2/12 at home against Owen Sound as McDavid scored a goal and an assist. Connor totaled 20 points in the streak (8 goals, 12 points). Connor started another scoring streak two games later on 11/4/12 @ Mississauga, where he began with an assist. The 6-game streak ended on 11/17/12 at home vs. Guelph where Connor had 2 assists. Connor totaled 10 points in the streak (5 goals, 5 assists). McDavid’s performance in the ice won him the OHL Rookie of The Month award for his first two months as an Otter in October and November, 2012. McDavid won multiple awards for his performance as a rookie. He won the Emms Family Award for being the OHL’s Rookie of the Year, along with making it to the OHL’s First All-Rookie Team. Connor played in the 2013 IIHF World Championships in Sochi, Russia in April, 2013. Representing Canada, he won a Gold Medal
