I was able to get a good sleep in this morning since there was no morning practice. Instead, we had a practice two hours earlier at 1:00pm just to make sure we have everything ready for the series against Windsor. I thought the boys had a great practice today.

We got pizza and wings, and I grabbed a couple of slices but I didn’t want to overindulge before we left on the bus to Windsor.

The bus ride itself was terrible, as it took five hours to get to Windsor. The weather wasn’t great as it rained throughout the ride, and there was brutal traffic in Cleveland. We stopped at a service area though I decided not to get anything to eat. The best part was that we had the fastest border crossing into Canada since I started playing in the league five years ago.

We went to the hotel and unpacked in our rooms, followed by a team dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. We had roast beef, potatoes and green beans, which was a very good meal.

It’s good to see all the boys dying their hair blonde for the playoffs as we’ve been bonding throughout the season, we believe we have what it takes to go far in the postseason. I hope to get a good sleep and stretch before we take to the ice for Game 1, it should be a great series and I can’t wait for it to start.
