Glass traded to Saginaw for draft pick

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League today announced that defenseman Nathan Glass has been traded to the Saginaw Spirit in exchange for a seventh round pick in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection.

Glass departs the Otters after playing in 90 games for the team, collecting 10 assists. The right-handed shooting defenseman was drafted in the seventh round of the 2010 OHL Priority Selection out of the Chicago Young Americans.

During the 2010-2011 season, Glass played for the Soo (Mich.) Eagles of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League and won a league championship, advancing to the Dudley Hewitt Cup.

The Otters return home for a pair of weekend games starting Friday night against the Ottawa 67’s. The first 1,000 adults 18-and-older to Friday’s game receive a coupon for a free scratch-off lottery ticket courtesy of the Pennsylvania Lottery. Saturday night the Guelph Storm come into town for the 5th Annual Teddy Bear Toss. Bring a new or gently used stuffed animal to the game and receive a ticket to a future Otters game (restrictions apply). Both games start at 7:00 p.m. For tickets, call 814-452-4857 or go to
